| The integration of industry and city is an important path for upgrading and optimizing the industrial structure of urban agglomerations,as well as a key factor in improving the overall development quality and enhancing competitiveness of urban agglomerations.The Lanzhou Xining urban agglomeration is the only one west of the Aiteng Line that spans two provinces.Although the Lanxi urban agglomeration has been included in the construction sequence of 19 national level urban agglomerations in China,the construction process of its urban agglomeration is slow due to factors such as relatively remote location conditions,weak economic foundation,fragile ecological environment,and relatively weak resource allocation capacity.Based on this,this study focuses on the integration of industry and city development,with the Lanxi urban agglomeration as the research object.Using various mathematical analysis methods such as coupling analysis,Arc GIS spatial correlation analysis,DEA model,etc.,this paper summarizes the development process of industry city integration in the Lanxi urban agglomeration,explores the current situation and efficiency of industry city integration in the Lanxi urban agglomeration,reveals the driving and influencing factors of industry city integration,and proposes development strategies and suggestions.The main research conclusions of this article are as follows:(1)The overall tightness value of the integration of industry and city in the Lanxi urban agglomeration is at a relatively low level.From a temporal perspective,the overall proximity value from 2013 to 2019 only increased by 0.0495,and the changes in absolute and relative differences were not significant,which to some extent reflects the slow progress of urban agglomeration industry and city in each county of the Huangshui River Basin is significantly higher than that of the main body of the Yellow River Basin.The results of the tightness index of various dimensions of industry city integration indicate that the ecological governance index has the highest value,followed by the urban growth index and cultural development index.The industrial support index has the lowest value,indicating significant achievements in environmental governance investment and construction.The lack of industrial support capacity is the biggest shortcoming in the construction of the Lanxi urban agglomeration.(2)The overall coordinated development of industry city integration in the Lanxi urban agglomeration is in an unbalanced state.The average coupling index value is0.5818,and the average coupling coordination index value is 0.2790;The coordinated development of various cities,counties,and districts has not shown significant changes,and the value of central cities is higher than that of county-level cities.The southern counties show a trend of "reverse" changes,and the spatial layout shows a clear "linear" trend.Based on the judgment of regional spatial correlation characteristics,the overall Moran index of industry city integration development within the Lanxi urban agglomeration is showing a downward trend,and the spatial connections between districts and counties are not significant,and the correlation status between them is also unstable;The integrated development of industry and city in the Lanxi urban agglomeration has not yet demonstrated the polarization effect of the central urban agglomeration,and its radiation correlation with surrounding towns is limited.(3)The input-output efficiency of the integration of industry and city in the Lanxi urban agglomeration is in a low efficiency state.From a static perspective,the overall situation has not yet reached an effective state,and each city,county,and district presents typical characteristics of the early stage of urban agglomeration cultivation,with prominent characteristics of disorderly changes in the operation of their respective systems.From a dynamic perspective,the overall input-output efficiency conversion showed a significant lag in this period;Compared with the static efficiency value,each city and county shows an effective state,with the effectiveness of the central city being weaker than that of each district and county,and the trend of decreasing returns to scale is more obvious.(4)The "congenital defect" in the integrated development of industry and city in the Lanxi urban agglomeration is a more obvious limiting factor.The main factors that constrain the integrated development of industry and city in the Lanxi urban agglomeration are: the industrial support layer is the key influencing factor,the urban growth layer is the dominant influencing factor,and cultural development and ecological governance are important influencing factors.Among them,total factor productivity,per capita GDP,the number of secondary vocational school students,per capita fixed assets investment in public facilities,and the relative labor productivity of non-agricultural industries are the limiting factors affecting the integration of industry and city in Lanxi urban agglomeration.(5)The strategic suggestions for promoting the integrated development of industry and city in the Lanxi urban agglomeration include:Firstly,it is the driving force for promoting the integrated development of industry and city in the Lanxi urban agglomeration,focusing on creating a "mobile space" led by regional economic integration.However,the external effects of ecological governance cannot be ignored;The choice of driving mechanism for building an integrated modern governance system should achieve mutual support among the three important forces of top-level design,urban government cooperation,and market driving force,and focus on promoting industrial development and linkage mechanism construction.Secondly,we will focus on solving development challenges,objectively examine the strategic positioning of the Lanxi urban agglomeration,and enhance collaborative governance capabilities by building a symbiotic environment;Emphasize the regulation of national land space and continuously enhance the resilience of ecological space in the Lanxi urban agglomeration;Efforts will be made to optimize the spatial structure of urban agglomerations,consolidate the foundation of integrated development of industry and city in urban agglomerations,and achieve the development of industrial ecology;Establish an efficient network interconnection system and construct a transportation oriented spatial organization form for urban agglomerations;Actively improving the alliance mechanism and consolidating the foundation for the development of small and medium-sized nodes in urban agglomerations;Focusing on the integrated development of industry and city in key areas,promoting the integration of industry chain,technology chain,talent chain,and capital chain,promoting the integration of industry and city in the Lanxi urban agglomeration,and achieving high-quality development.Paper innovation:(1)Theoretical innovation:This article constructs a mechanism model for the integration of industry and city in urban agglomerations(FDSER model)from the perspective of systems theory,The FDSER model consists of five main components:basic set,driving condition set,current situation and trend set,mechanism action set,and causal feedback set.It is a mechanism model for the integration of industry and city in urban agglomerations;Revealing the effects of interaction among various systems and the performance of phased development in the process of industry city integration lays a theoretical foundation for a comprehensive understanding of the development process of industry city integration.(2)Method innovation: An indicator system with four dimensions of "industrial support,urban development,cultural development,and ecological governance" and 21 target values has been constructed.A comprehensive analysis was conducted on the development trend of industry city integration in urban agglomerations,including foundation,current situation,efficiency,and driving mechanisms.This avoids the drawbacks of a single evaluation perspective and dimension,and provides new ideas and methods for systematically and scientifically studying the development of industry city integration in urban agglomerations.(3)Exploring the mechanism and mechanism of industry city integration in the northwest region based on the special situation of the Lanxi urban agglomeration,disciplinary innovation is more conducive to providing theoretical support and practical guidance for the innovative development and competitiveness enhancement of the Lanxi urban
