Pyraloidea is the most important pest in agriculture of Henan province, the number of its species is various and exits in many areas, and both their larvae and adults can make harm seriously. In past three years,3000 specimens were collected in the field, and the collected samples of insect laboratory of Zhengzhou University and Henan academy of agricultural science were indentified.According to this study,it makes a descriptive record 2 family,9 subfamily,72 genus, and 100 species about the insect of Pyraloidea in Henan Province. Among them,4 genus and 6 species are first recorded in Henan. The Pyraloidea database of China and Henan are established based on lots of distributing data of Pyraloidea, and also the Pyraloidea faunal structure in Henan has been analysed. The result is that the dominant elementy is East Asian, Oriental element was approximately on an equality with Palaearctic element in Henan. The reason of asymmetrical distribution of each area was the different landform and vegetation;Henan is the typical transition zone, and it defines the east boundary of Palaearctic and Oriental realm; The fauna composition is significantly related with each animal geographical region in China. The method of multivariate simiarity clustering analysis was used to discuss the fauna similarity among province of China and among bio-regions of Henan. The results showed that the whole country were divided 7 distribution areas, and the whole Henan province were divided 6 distribution areas. The rate of similarity contribution of Henan is in the media of China, but the rate of dissimilarity contribution of Henan is in the back. And then the methods of key fauna analysis is used to discuss the lowest combination of the prior area for Pyraloidea protection in Henan.
