There is a long history in oil and gas exploration field, with which technologies development also has its own history. Among of the technologies, seismic interpretation and reservoir were combined to promote the development of oil and gas exploration continuously.Structural interpretation technology was improved with the development of seismic data level and the progress of interpretation means. It exists three stages from the two sides, such as application and technical means. The first stage is Vâ… -Optical paper to interpret the section. The second stage is the horizontal stack of paper section interpretation of two-dimensional simulation tape recording and digital recording. The last one is migration section stack of two-and three-dimensional Interpretation stage.The reservoir has own development of years. It's an extension of tectonic interpretation technology. Presently, seismic reservoir prediction technology has been matured, and a set of reservoir prediction technology has been formed, such as seismic inversion, seismic attribute analysis, AVO analysis,which play an important role in lithology, morphology, physical properties and prediction of oil and gas. The reservoir was regarded the leading technology and it has been improved constantly in practical application .For Ordos Basin Ningdong oil field example, it is introduced that the detailed application and the results achieved. First is the history of exploration in the Ordos Basin, which has experienced three stages, eight periods of exploration. Nowadays, Ordos Basin has been named the large-scale energy.Finally, structural interpretation and reservoir technologies has been applied in NanjingDong oil fields, which demonstrates the practicality of them. The tectonic form and the features of tectonic trap were described through the structural interpretation, which layed the foundation for the target selection. Through the reservoir prediction technology, there are many process to be done, such as analysis the rock geophysical characteristics of the selecting Gr curve to go reservoir characteristics reconstruction inversion, converting the seismic profiles to lithologic section, drawing sand thickness map, and submitting exploration objectives being combined with gas and oil forming characteristics.Therefore, structural interpretation and reservoir prediction technology promote that the development of the process of oil and gas exploration, studying their history has important practical significance. Here, through the application of the two technologies, to renewable understanding of the structural features and lithology distribution of NingDong, to comprehensive evaluation of the favorable target zone, which offer the exploration program for NingDong oilfield and the theoretical and practical reference for the exploration area similar to the NingDong oilfield.
