The groundwater pollution assessment in a site is an important part of the evaluation of the contaminated sites, while the numerical simulation of the ground- water is an important tool in the field of studying the groundwater flow of ground- water and the contaminants transport modeling. During the simulation of ground- water flow, the boundary conditions directly affect the reliability of the simulation results, and the generalization of the boundary conditions becomes difficulties and the main focus to the numerical simulation of groundwater flow in a site. This thesis which is based on the projects "The study on Groundwater Pollution Evaluation and Prediction in Tuancheng Lake Regulation-Pool", deals with the groundwater flow modeling and contaminant transport simulation in the "Regulation-Pond " and its surrounding areas, and with the discussion on the boundary conditions. Firstly, Current situation of ground- water flow Groundwater flow field was simulated, then we simulated the impact of groundwater flow in the " Recharge rate " after the " Regulation-Pond " will be used, and under the different " Recharge rate " conditions. Based on the groundwater flow fields which were simulated, we simulated the contaminants transport in groundwater using Cl- as a tracer. According to the simulation results, when the "Recharge rate "is 0.04m / d, the contaminants in the groundwater will not intrude into the " Regulation-Pond ". Finally, we introduce how GMS to deal with the boundary conditions and how we determine the boundary conditions in this simulation, then give the recommendation on how to choose the boundary conditions of groundwater modeling in a site-scale area.We changed the boundary conditions of the original model, and then created a new simulation model,we compare the simulation results of two models, illustrate that the general head boundary is very important to the simulation that its source and sink terms are changable during the simulation period in a site-scale area. On the basis of the above simulation analysis, we provide some proposals for "Regulation- Pond "design, and give reasonable views on the construction of the"Regulation- Pond "and some groundwater pollution prevention measures.
