The Interacting Boson Model (IBM) is one of the most significant models in theory of nuclear structure. Investigation on properties of the model is of importance. In this thesis, a part of the Fortran subroutines for numerical computation of matrix elements in the SU(3) symmetry-adapted basis for the model with three-body term were compiled based on the former codes of the model. Then, the relation between the model Hamiltonian and the triaxial rotor model is shown. Triaxial deformation and properties of the model are studied in detail. The model properties under variety of parameter situations are studied. Os isotopes are taken as examples in illustrating the results.
