It is increasingly more important for holographic display to get large view angle, and this is what this project worked for. In the requests of the real 3D display, the holographic display has more merits. According to the principle of the hologram, it can reconstruct exactly the same image of the original object, which became the hotspot nowadays. The research on the holography has effectively driven the development of the 3D display technique.This paper explained the progress of 3D display with the emphasis on the current development in holographic display technology at home and abroad. The 3D holographic display was divided to two important methods, optical holographic display and electronically holographic display. For the strict requirements on the experiment conditions of optical recording, we combined the computer generated holography and the digital holography to simulate the procedure of the hologram and reconstructed the image of the object in the computer. We select the modified off-axis reference beam CGH for 3D hologram programming. In this paper, we give out the algorithm flow, the programme with MATLAB software and the correct results of every experiment. The 3D Fresnel hologram was completed using the Fourier transform arithmetic for Fresnel diffraction calculating and selected the chromatography method to make 3D hologram. On the base of right outcome of the Burch coding, we can see in the given imaging plain, the correspondent image in focus come out. And in this way, we can certificate the feasibility of the chromatography method.In order to satisfy the requirement of enlarge the view angle of the display system, we adopted a method of composing 3D holograms from various visual angles. In every angle direction, the 3D Fresnel hologram was drawn by the computer and holograms were accurately split jointed one by one. In this way, we can get a larger view angle than one single hologram. After the stringent verification of the calculation and the actual verification of software simulation, the works of this paper were proved to be correct and the experimental results satisfy the subjects of the request.
