The construction of Wuhan city circle has become a crucial part to speed upeconomic development of Hubei province since the national strategy of rising the centralChinawasproposed. But uptonowtheresearchismostlyonthelevelofqualitativeanalysis. This paper uses the statistic data from 2001 to 2006 to analyze the temporal variation ofJingjintang region, Yangtze River Delta region, Pearl River Delta and the Wuhan citycirclefromtwoperspectives:economicindicatorsandHierarchy.Firstly, cities'growth date comparison and economic factors with significantinfluence are computed with the algorithm of pls and its aided analysis. It places extraemphasis on the contrast between Wuhan city circle and the left city circles, and got theconclusion that the number of students on colleges in WuHan is increasing impact oneconomic, Ezhou has potential advantages of geographical location, HuangShi has someindustrial basement, agriculture and tourism are major Industries of Huanggang, XiaoGanandXianNing.Secondly, clusteringalgorithm is used to make all cities into 4 parts with the averageeconomic level as clustering norm. The result is that Wuhan is weak at driving the citiesaround and the internal gap between cities within Wuhan city circle is larger than othercitycircles.Secondly, shortcomings and forecasts are pointed. With Wuhan's leading role isincreased and other cities'absorbability is strengthen, regional economic integration willbeachieved.
