Based on the comprehensive analysis and understanding geology background of the researched areas,which combined with sedimentology and petroleum geology theory,sedimentary facies,source rocks,reservoir,other reservoir forming conditions in Saihantala sag of Erlian basin were studied in detail by means of making full use of various types of files,for example,drilling,logging,seismic and so on.As results,extremely defined petroleum migration and accumulation model of target strata of exploration,meanwhile,pointed out favorable place for prospecting.The result shows that there exist three sets valid source rocks vertically which included K1ba,K1bt1,K1bt2 in Saihantala sag.Remarkably,in which K1bt1 is major source bed.Horizontally,eastern depression of Saihantala sag as main oil generation zone is deeply and thickly buried.According to the research and analysis about geochemistry data,the type of kerogen is generallyâ…¡2.The last conclusions that both K1bt1 and K1bt2 are superior source rocks,K1ba is a moderate one.Reservoir type is mainly clastic reservoir,K1bt2 reservoir properties with moderate permeability and porosity is the best,K1ba is a low porosity and permeability reservoir. A large set of capping formation of mudstone developed in K1bt1,K1bt2,and powerful capping ability,which can be used as a good regional cap rock.Traps mainly include lithologic traps,structural traps,stratigraphic traps and structural- lithologic composite traps.With studying structure and deposition assured that the structural traps are mainly located in the central uplift of Sai4 structural belt and Zarb belt,and lithologic traps are distributed mainly in the eastern depression area. With studying the source rock,reservoir,cap rock and conducting system,and concluding the rule of oil and gas concentration,the reservoir generation mode of Saihantala sag and Zarb belt was developed,which can be to further predict favorable exploration area.
