The Short Time Fourier Transform, Continued Wavelet Transform, S Transform, Generalized S Transform, Hilbert-Huang Transform and Matching Pursuit etc are introduced in detail. The energy normalized Generalized S Transform weakens the higher weighted influence of the high port frequency in time-frequency spectrum. The improved Generalized S Transform avoids fixed variation trend of time-frequency, and has well time-frequency resolution than standardized S Transform. Those kinds of time-frequency analysis methods are compared carefully through test model and seismic data, and their advantages and disadvantages are obtained accurately. According to the time-frequency method distinguishing feature and the practical application requirements, the improved generalized S transform is chosed to proceed the application of absorb analysis.Through the seismic wave equation forward modeling, I research the relationship of absorb coefficient and frequency in imperfectly elastic media, and analyse spectrum characteristics attenuation of viscoelastic media petroleum reservoirs. The seismic wave spectrum feature of viscoelastic media petroleum reservoirs is "low frequency energy augmented relatively, high frequency energy diminished relatively". Spectrum characteristics attenuation of viscoelastic media petroleum reservoirs theoretically is obtained. Through physical model and actual seismic data experiment, the method that use spectrum characteristics attenuation of viscoelastic media petroleum reservoirs to hydrocarbon recognition is validity and availability.Combining the improved Generalized S Transform to wavelet spectrum simulating technology, absorbs analysis technology through different attribute parameter is proposed. The existing absorb analysis technology is analyzed and summarized in detail. The absorb analysis technology classification has mainly the single frequency analysis technology, the spectrum characteristics analysis technology and stratigraphic absorption coefficient analysis etc. The absorb analysis technology gets good result in actual seismic data. These verify the availability and practicability of the proposed technology. Several absorption compensation methods are discussed. Point spectrum whitening in time-frequency spectrum is very effective and practical. The point spectrum of improved Generalized S Transform has better time resolution and frequency resolution, which avoid the influence of Fourier Transform analysis window. To immediate eliminate the influence of seismic wavelet is very difficult. The improved Generalized S Transform point spectrum whitening compresses the seismic wavelet, which improves the seismic data resolution. The point spectrum whitening method keeps the time-frequency properties and wave group characteristics of the seismic data, which also compensates low frequency of seismic data to a certain degree.
