Several heuristic algorithms are discussed in this dissertation and the applications of them on geodetic inversion are discussed too. Ant Colony Optimization is used on geodetic inversion and its effect are compared with Simulated Annealing and Genetic Algorithms. They are almost identical in their role of parameter inversion, but Genetic Algorithms handled well in the application for geodetic inversion, and Ant Colony Optimization has the ability in searching better result.Having leaded the semi-parameter model into the geodetic inversion model, the effect of surveying data systemic error is eliminated or weakened on the geodesy inversion model. Since the smoothing factor of the semi-parameter model is not easily determined, a new method is presented to resolve it with the help of Genetic Algorithms. Then two examples are given to illustrate its feasibility and validity. Two methods are presented to resolve ill-conditioned model on geodetic inversion in this dissertation. One is generalized ridge estimate method, but the generalized ridge parameters of it are determined using Genetic Algorithms. The other is the least square fitting method in which Genetic Algorithms is used to research sound model parameters. The feasibility and validity of the two methods are illustrated by some examples. The inversion computation for plate driving forces acting at the boundaries is made using Genetic Algorithms programming and Finite Element Method programming by simulation example and actual example. The simulation experiment illustrates the feasibility and validity of this method. The inversion results of plate driving forces acting at the boundaries of China show that: (1) the main driving forces that formed the displacement field in Chinese mainland are from the collision of Indian plate with Eurasian plate, and its force is two to three times of Philippine plate's or Pacific plate's, and the force of Indian Plate is weakening from north to south; (2)Although the driving forces of Philippine Plate and Pacific Plate are smaller than that of Indian Plate, they are significant driving forces for Chinese displacement; (3)The back basin of Japan sea arc is continuously extending slowly; (4)The directions of Indian plate's driving force are different which possibly show that Indian plate has zones of fracture and both sides of fracture have different driving force; (5)There is a great driving force on the west of China which may come from local convection of centrosphere. The anterior three points of the conclusion are in agreement with the other literatures, the other two points are summed up after synthetically analyzed in this dissertation.
