| Kashan Block of Iran is the first oversea risk exploration block of Chinese Petrochemical Co. Ltd. Kashan Block is located in the south -west edge of Iranian Basin. On the structure, it belongs to Alpines- Himalayan orogeny belt controlled by dynamic system of Tethys-Indian Ocean. It is dominical by compression and it is small-scale intermountain basin with multi-circles and multi-periods and complex structure. It is 4800km2 area. The exploration of hydrocarbon began in 1950s. Many data such as M/G, EM and seismic have been arranged, processed and interpreted in Shengli Oilfield, in which, the interpreted data (2-D) are 64 lines with 1800km. The techniques such as integration of process and interpretation, joint interpretation of M/G, EM and seismic, variable velocity mapping, pressure prediction, constraint inversion without well and special process have been applied. The comprehensive researches on geology and physical exploration have been carried out in the whole Block. Two potential structural belts have been discovered. Thirteen trapped structures have been defined. And two prospecting well locations have been provided.
