Geologging Plot, especially compositive histogram, is one of the important petroleum exploiture data. It reflects underground terranes and its content of oil, gas and water. Because of historical causation, the standards of Geologging Plot drawing are different at different oil fields. As internal oil field open, it is very imperative to develop a software which can suit most kind of standard.This thesis is about the development of GeoLogging (mudlogging) plot software by using OOAD. Through fractionizing the granularity of Object, some generic design-pattern, user can get sufficient functional agility to fit for different department format standard as occasion requires at the time of Drawing GeoLogging Plot. At the same time, this software also solves some problems and conquer shortcoming which consist in other GeoLogging plot softwares.From the point of view of graphics, the software fractionize the granularity of Object, and put some elementary function to elementary object. The software compose element Objects to form complex Object and to implement complex function. Through Compostion pattern, the software can composite Objects. Through Modal Method pattern, the software can get unitive interface. User can operate object with same way. Adopted the method of component development, the software develop a visible component which integrate display function and control function.The system is designed by the latest development tool, Modal Maker, the system use some kernel techniques of Delphi VCL, such as RTTI(run time type information),object clone, extended message. The software implement user-defined toolbox and property editor.
