Negative electron affinity (NEA) photocathode has been widely concerned by many countries for its excellent performance and some of them have been developing it for many years with the support of a lot of researchers and material resources. Our country has also done many researches about it since many years ago, but for some reasons we have made a slow progress and lead to lag greatly behind the developed countries. To study advanced experience of foreign countries and to develop new research reproach are the things we must do. Under the guidance of this idea some research was done in this dissertation as following:1 .a database for NEA photocathodes was programmed;2.a photoelectron device model and relative equivalent circuit for NEA transparent photocathode were built and a sub circuit describe programmed with SPICE language was given;3.stability of NEA photocathode was improved by improving activation techniques;4.the theory of absorption on the surface of solid was introduced in the study for stability of NEA photocathode, and some phenomena in the experiment were explained by it.
