Three-dimensional geological modeling (3DGM) is one of the focuses on three-dimensional Geographical Information System (3DGIS) and virtual mine technology. The methods of building three-dimensional grid geological modeling (3DGGM) and spacial analyses based on the profile are discussed. And the method integrating 3DGGM and 3DGM based on the section is put forward. Moreover, geological modeling system is developed based on three-dimensional grid modeling. The main contents of this thesis are as following: 1.The concept prototype of geological body is summarized according to analyzing its characters. And the classification, obtaining and the storing methods refer to geological data are analyzed. At the same time, the key issue of 3DGM is pointed out. 2.Generating grid geological model is brought out on the basis of basic principle of grid model. In another word, it takes geometry model of grid cell or three-dimensional grid geological model as restrict boundary, and 3DGGM is filled. Then the data structure is designed. 3.Main idea and method of integrating 3DGGM and 3DGM based on the section are come up with based on the data model and data structure. And integrated data model is produced. 4 Technology of spacial analyses and inserting data about 3DGGM is provided. Applying distance proportion to insert unknown grid data of layer and inserting unknown spacial attribute of 3D grid using general King method are particularly discussed. Methods of calculating area as layer's hook face, projection and section are proposed, so are methods of calculating volume. 5.Structure of 3DGGM system is designed. And 3DGGM system based on single computer is generated by means of VC++, OpenGL, Access and other developing tools. Furthermore, data model, data structure, method of modeling and spacial analyses on 3DGGM are proved.
