City, which is the high complicated spatial-temporal huge system comprised of nature, society, economy, culture and so on, is not only where human activities are most intensive and strongest, but also where interaction between civil factors and natural factors is most sensitive. Urban land is one necessary prop for city development and its many factors interacting, on the contrary, city development and the interaction of its inner factors leave inevitably brand on urban landuse. The adjustment of the structure of urban landuse is the ultimate reflection of city growth. Historic cities' modernization involves the conflict of history and modern, so we should coordinate the layout and unify the programming. The research on dynamic simulation of urban landuse spatial-temporal evolution can meet not only the need for us to analyze dynamically the man-land conflict in city and the changes of land market conditions, and to achieve city sustainable development, but also the need for us to analyze thoroughly constituent and harmonious changes of urban factors. Therefore, we should study deeply the characteristics and regulation of urban landuse evolution in terms of urban economics, urban dynamics, systematic geography, land science, geography information science and so on. The first part is preface. In the part, this paper introduces briefly the thoughts and the background, and thinks of the evolution of urban landuse type and layout as one outer kind of city growth, so that we urgently need a microscopic dynamic model to study urban landuse spatial-temporal evolution. The second part is the current situation of the research. On the one hand, this paper systematically introduces the current situation at home and abroad about using microscopic dynamic model, CA, to study spatial-temporal evolution of urban landuse, on the other hand, this paper formulates content and status of the research before concisely, so to put forward a case study. The third part is theoretic basis and method discussion. The theoretic prop and methodology of resolving problem deal with not only the conception and essential meaning of GeoCA-Urban model, but also the driving mechanism of urban landuse evolution, the suitable estimate of urban landuse, and the evaluation of urban landuse' intensive degree. The forth part is a case study, which is the care of the dissertation. In this section, this paper makes GeoCA-Urban model and GIS integrate laxly, simulates landuse dynamic changes of the 11000 hectare study area of the protect dike in Kaifeng, deeply analyzes the simulation result, expounds the urban landuse' intensive degree and the urban landuse structure' reasonable degree and dynamic state, in order to provide the important reference for urban land arrangement and urban total programming. The fifth part is the summary of this dissertation. From the angle of the model method and the apocalypse gained by the result, this paper discusses the advantages and the existent shortages about which GeoCA-Urban is used to simulate historic city' landuse spatial-temporal evolution, analyzes the characteristics of the landuse spatial-temporal evolution in the study area from 1995 to 2010, and brings up some special characteristics of historic city' landuse spatial-temporal evolution. At the same time, this paper points out the shortcomings of this dissertation and the problems need to study further.
