The mud-logging unit plays an important role on the oil&gas exploring and well drilling monitoring .In order to meet the need of production -well logging services, this paper bring out a new style design -- production-well logging unit(PWLU)The PWLU is mainly composed of the Data Acquisition System (DAS), the Online Software(OS), the Gas Detecting Unit(GDU) .The DAS achieves the functions of signal conditioning , A/D converting and signal transmitting. GDU do the online logging work to catch the escaping hydro-gas from the mud. The GDU detector adopts hydrogen flame ion detector (FID). The OS mainly pay attention to the signal calibration, data real-time record, data store, Well drilling monitoring . This paper gives a particular introduces for above mentioned three part. In the DAS chart ,The Well drilling depth acquiring is stressed . In the GDU chart, the program controlled micro -current amplifier electronic design is the most care part . About the OS ,three important module ,drill state judge module ,well depth calculation module and lag depth calculation module ,are described carefully . In addition ,the expert system on the mud-logging is also introduced.The characteristic of the unit is portable . In order to decrease the unit space ,the hardware of DAS is simplified, and the Hydro-generator ,the Gas compressor and the FID is compacted into a box .Experiment with the sample unit is doing now on the well-site.
