With the requirement of the 863-program—Shanghai Spatial Information Application Platform Based on SIG -the Subsystem for Mobile User to Collecting Information & Using the Spatial Information, this paper discussed the technologies & methods used in the services platform, a key component in the subsystem.As we known, urban GIS has the nature such as the various source of data, various platforms and mess data which cannot match the nature of the wireless environment, which has a feasible networks connection, narrow bandwidth and the limitation of the computer rescourse. So this paper focuse on how to ease the mobile user to use the spatial information as same as the traditional user do.This paper discussed the problems on four aspects: the architecture of the services platform; the protocol used by mobile user; the information and services integration technology base on the "point source"method and WebServices technology; the compression technology used by spatial information.This paper introduced the "blackboard" structure into the GIS field, and constructed the platform which fits the requirements of mobile user and city spatial information intergration; Also, this paper, proposed a set of protocol used by mobile GIS user—MUGP (Mobile Urban GIS Protocal); Further more this paper proposed the frame ofinformation/services intergration based on the "Point Source"method and WebServices technology. Additionally this paper also discussed the compression technologies used in spatial data.
