GPS is a high-tech which has been being in full flourish. But the check-up and test of GPS receiver is a total new question for discussion which needs for so much research. Contraposing to the questions on GPS receiver testing in our country at present, and being based upon a factualistic and innovational spirit, this paper studies in full and in system the technique of check off and test of GPS receiver from theories and experiments. The major researches include:1. Contraposing to the questions in current Specifications for Check off and Test of GPS receiver, This paper brings forward a set of new testing schemes itself. The new schemes are more scientific, perfect, logical and feasible.2. We have schemed out and accomplished the GPS standard baseline fields of CSU. This baseline fields is at least the first high standard special GPS baseline fields in Hunan province.3. Making use of advanced computer language—Visual Basic, we have successfully researched and developed a testing software specialized in GPS receiver. This software has been tested through some testing instances, and it will provide a technical guarantee for the testing of GPS receiver.4. This paper has brought forward new methods and standards of interior noise level of GPS receiver and consistency of GPS antenna phase center. It is the first time that the statistic theory has been applied to appraisal of GPS receiver testing.5. This paper has reasoned out the offset's theoretic conclusion of GPS antenna phase center. It has brought forward the offset' s new calculational method, and the method has been tested through some testing instances.6. This paper has successfully applied the statistic theory of linearregression analysis to the calculation of GPS wild positioning error. It brings forward two kinds of methods of linear regression analysis, and the methods have been tested through the testing software.7. This paper has systematically applied the theory of uncertainty in measurement to the GPS receiver testing. It will upgrade the research level of GPS receiver testing to a systematical and theoretic height.8. This paper has brought forward some problems not mentioned in current Specifications for Check off and Test of GPS receiver and presented the interrelated solution, for example, the testing and its methods of GPS data post-processing software, and so on.
