The unstructured grid can discretize flow-field with complex geometries fast andflexibly,and this is extremely important for the CFD to be used to solve fluid flowproblems in engineering systems. With this, a lot of attention has been paid on theunstructured grid techniques for years. In this paper, the study and discussion focus onthe generation techniques of unstructured grid and the application of SIMPLEalgorithm in collocated unstructured grids.A quick generation method for unstructured mesh of Delaunay triangulation andan efficient method for optimizing meshes are presented.A finite volume method based on unstructured grid is given for the solution oftwo-dimensional incompressible viscous flow. A second-order hybrid scheme isachieved by applying a method of reconstruction gradient, and the transform of crossdiffusion is improved, thereby enhance calculation efficiency.Based on the techniques mentioned above, a program for simulating viscous flowwas developed and used to solve several types of flow problems with complexgeometries. It was found that simulation results agreed well with benchmark solutionand experimental data.
