Xiong'er Shan region is one of the important gold-silver mineralized districts inHenan province. The Shagou deposit is located at the western Xiong'er Shan. TheNo.1 Party of Hanen Provincial Geological Bureau for Non-ferrous Metals Resourcesfound the deposit in 1998 and did exploration. Compared with the same typeore-forming deposit: the large-scale silver-lead deposit of Tieluping and theHaopinggou silver-lead-gold deposit, few study on the occurrence form andmineralogy of silver in Shagou deposit is done, but it's very important for theexploitation and use of the independent silver deposit.A case study on some typical veins was undertaken during this study. Based onsystematic field investigations, multiple methods including chemical analysis, ICP-MSand electron microprobe (EMP) are used to study ore deposit geochemistry andoccurrence of silver. In addition, the geologic and geochemical conditions ofAg-Pb-Zn mineralization, the occurrence and enrichment regularity of Ag is studied inthis dissertation.Shagou deposit mainly lies in the metamorphic rock of Taihua Group,Archaeozoic erathem. Most veins tend towards NEE-NE. According to the field study,three alteration zones are observed: chlorite-sericite zone, quartz-carbonate-sericite-(pyrite) zone and quartz mineralize zone. Quartz, sericite and carbonate are theimportant symbol for seeking mine.The main type of ore is silver-lead-zinc, with granule texture and block structures.The grade of silver in ore is 40×10-6~1000×10-6,top at 10000×10-6. Ag is veryclosed with Pb, the grade of Ag become high with the high grade of Pb in ore. Onepart of silver is lied in galena, chalcopyrite and pyrite as independent minerals, such asnature silver, pyrargyrite, argentite, tetrahedrite, polybasite and silver-bearingtetrahedrite, another part of silver is lied in sulphide as isomorphism, and galena is avery important mineral inclusing silver which reaches 1000~2000(×10-6).Ore-forming phases is disparted in three: quartz-pyrite phase, quartz-multimetalsulfide phase and quartz-carbonate phase, and the second phase is very important tothe mineralization of silver, lead and zinc, and the main mineral assembled are: quartz+pyrite+ galena+ Fe poor sphalerite+ silver-bearing tetrahedrite, quartz+ pyrite+galena+ pyrargyrite + polybasite, quartz+pyrite+chal-copyrite+ silver-bearingtetrahedrite+ tetrahedrite+nature sliver.
