Implement Parallel Computing Of Tide Equation By Staggered Subarea Technology

Nowadays, many researchers dedicate to the researching of Tide NumericalModel. But most of these experts base on the research of serial problems with PC.With deep research of scientific computing problems, the dimensions of thesecomputing problems more and more great. Only research these scientific problemwith PC is not enough because PC has shortages in performance when to resolve theseproblems. So it's very important to research how to implement parallel computing.Most of problems which need solved by Cluster are large-scale problems. The samecharacteristic is that these problems have large-scale or super large-scale data clusterand complicated operation process. CFD is the representative problem of them. Atpresent, parallel computing is very important in CFD domain. The author of this paperdedicated to research the parallel computing of Tide Equation base on serial problemof Tide Equation.At first, this paper introduces all kinds of parallel computing systems, especiallyPC-Cluster System and IBM-Cluster1350 which base on the MPI. Author of thispaper have been tested the performances of PC-Cluster and IBM-Cluster1350, at thesame time, have also been compared the merit and demerit of them.To analyzed the Tide Equation deeply. To introduce the physical problem, finite-difference format and boundary conditions more detailed. So we can dig the parallelfeasibility of it.After analyzed the Model, this paper analyzes two ways to implement parallelcomputing. And dedicate to research the feasibility of ways. Most of this paper is tointroduce the theory of Virtual-domain Technology, and how to use this theory toimplement parallel computing. At last, we draw a conclusion that to adopt theVirtual-domain Technology to implement parallel computing is feasible and the resultof parallel computing is consistent with the serial computing.
