Lin-9 block in linpan oil field is a typical complex fault block reservoir. It has entered into the high water-cut development phase, after about thirty years production. Along with the exposure of the problems in reservoir development, the use of fine reservoir description technology is distinct. It is used in establishing a fine geologic model of reservoir and studying the distribution of remaining oil. It is taken as a guidance in practice and used to steady production and practice.This article introduces a study of fine formation model in block lin-9,including fine formation correlation, the characterization of structural, microscopic structural and microfacies etc. The study has also established a fine geologic model of reservoir. We have gotten great effects on steady production and enhanced oil recovery. From the study results, it is concluded that(1) the fine formation correlation was used in formulating sandage datasheet and database etc. It considered that the change of layers, the change of the cleavage and new -explaining sandage are the change types.(2) the rupture system of lin-9 block and zhaojia block is modified, and it points out that the type of reservoir is complex little fault block. On the study of structural type, positive microscopic structural, negative microscopic and oblique microscopic structural are taken as the main microscopic structural types.(3) to establish the recognized model of microfacies ,and adopt coring datum and fine log second interpretation as effective technique, we perform fine research on S25 sumember in lin-9 block. The result is that its sedimentary enviroment is fluvial facies; its microscopic type is river island, natural levee, crevasse splay, flood-plain meander scar and first bottom etc; the river island, natural levee and flood-plain meander scan are the main microfacies types. The main reserving sandbody as well as the distribution of remaining oil is in the river island and natural levee. The potent of the other types is relatively little.(4) the heterogeneities of reservoir is serious, and its connectivity is also weak. The change of the area permeability and the thickness of sand is obvious, and the interbeded heterogeneity and area heterogeneity of reservoir are middle to serious.(5) the pore texture types of the reservoir is concluded as big-pore max-throat, mid-pore mid-throat and small-pore mid-throat. In the types only the mid-pore mid-throat is rich in remaining oil.(6) on the base of formation correlation, we have calculated the reserve. The increase of reservoir is because of the increase of the calculated area,oil area and the thickness of oil sand.
