Complex fault block reservoir is difficult to develop, the study of enhanced oil recoveryin fault block reservoir is important. This kind of reservoir is with diversity reservoirgeological structure, various oil and gas enrichment degree, system pressure and fluidproperty, different driving energy. Remaining oil enrichment regularity has become aworldwide problem, especially the remaining oil study in high water cut period, mainly focuson investigating complex fault block reservoir remaining oil enrichment regularity and highwater cut stage development strategies. This study is based on Shinanxi oilfield and the resulthas some guidance function for the development of fault block reservoir, improve thedevelopment effect and economic benefits.According to the reservoir structure, sedimentary characteristics, edge water energy anddifferent structure combination, the fault block reservoir could be divided into open,semi-open and closed reservoir. Select the typical reservoir, build a numerical simulationmodel, combining with the production data, research the remaining oil enrichment regularity,study on the effect of reservoir structure, gravitational differentiation, water drive energy,reservoir property for remaining oil distribution.Researching quantitative characterization on the basis of remaining oil distribution study.Defining the standard of enriched remaining oil area is the oil displacement efficiency lessthan20%. Count the statistics of remaining oil enrichment area, distance from oil-waterboundary to faults and the dimensionless remaining oil ribbon width.Conducting research on EOR strategies of fault block reservoirs in high water cut stage,including injection-production well pattern optimization and development strategies in highwater cut stage. According to the different condition of fault block reservoir, compare andcontrast the effect of development strategies, then select the appropriate one.
