Kongque River region locates in a narrow and long belt betweenKuluketage mountain and Manjiaer depression in northeast ofTarim basin.Up to now, there is no systemic and integrated work that covers sedimentaryenvironment and character;maturation and evolution history of source rock and itseffects on the pool formation. Based on geologic, logging, core, seismic andpredecessor data, the sedimentary environment, geologic distribution and character ofsource rock are analyzed firstly;the history of source rock bury, geotherm, maturation, generation and vent are second inverted by the BasinMod software;finally, the primary stages of generating and expelling hydrocarbon and its processdiversity of source rock are defined and the contribution of source rock to reservoirformation allocate is discussed. The research region includes three sets of source rock, which are marine facies—sapropel type source rock of Cambrian-Lower Ordovician with high-post maturationand high abundance;transitional facies — humosapropelic type source rock ofCarboniferous –Triassic with moderate-low maturation and low abundance;limneticfacies —humic type source rock of Jurassic with non-low maturation and highabundance. The information Statistic of logging and lithology of 22 wells, takingsedimentary environment into account, indicates that Cambrian-Lower Ordoviciansource rock distributes in the whole region, Carboniferous -Triassic source rock onlydistributes in the Caohu depression and south of Kuerle nose with thickness between0~300 meters, Jurassic source rock distributes as belt parallel to Kuluketage mountain, which is absent in the west-south of Caohu depression and mountain front area withthickness between 10~100 meters.Based on the analysis of single well simulation of kn1, yl1, kq1 et al. Conclude thatthe source rocks of Kongque River region have two patterns of maturation evolutionhistory. One pattern was that source rock matured rapidly in early stage and evolutionstoped lately which mainly distributes in deep depression near the mountain front areaand margin region, and another pattern was that source rock matured rapidly in earlystage and gradually evolved lately, this pattern distributes in Kongque slope and mostarea of depression .Based on the statistics and analysis of generating and expelling hydrocarbon historycurve of 13 wells, considering tectonic evolution background of Kongque Riverregion, there are three primary stages generating and expelling hydrocarbon functionof Middle-Late Caledonian, Middle Yanshan and Xishan in geologic history inKongque River region. Cambrian-Lower Ordovician source rock offer hydrocarbonsource during Middle-Late Caledonian stage, both Carboniferous and Triassic sourcerock offer hydrocarbon during Yanshan stage, and the Carboniferous, Triassic andJurassic source rock offer hydrocarbon source during Xishan stage.Upper Ordovician-Silurian-Devonian traps, which formed in Late Caledonian -EarlyHercynian, were supplied oil and gas amply, they should be priority explorationtargets. It is feasible to search for readjusted reservoir and oil and gas degradedreservoir, which come from paleo-reservoir.
