To begin with, this thesis gives detailed description of the SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) system, the contemporary development of radar geology and uranic mineral exploration, and introduces the research background, importance and present situation related to them. Base upon previous studies, the paper carried out an comprehensive analysis of study area, focusing on the application of remote sensing data.Secondly, the paper introduces the basic processing theory of SAR image processing, including image registration, mosaic and noise reduction. The paper makes many comparison and analysis among conventional methods for removing noises in SAR images, three improved filtering method are brought forth to reduce noise level based on multi-temporal SAR data. And a way of improving resolution is also introduced.SAR image plays an important role in the geologic study, which can be used to analyze regional tectonics, terrane identification and blind geologic body exploration. However, there are still limitations to distinguish terrane rely just on SAR intensity image; it would be great helpful to combine SAR with optical images, which will expand the application extent of SAR image. Therefore, the emphasis of the paper will be the studying of image processing techniques of different SAR sensors, the fusion of SAR image and multi-spectral images. The paper will divide SAR images into several groups, and then process the image combinations using different methods reiteratively to obtain reliable results. By analyzing the obtained experiment results, the paper summarizes several processing methods for mineral exploration. Meanwhile, the paper introduces several statistical parameters, and makes quantitative comparisons and judgments of these components, which will demonstrate the application of the advanced image processing methods on mineral identification subjectively and objectively.Based on above processing steps and results, the paper gave a comprehensive study and interpretation of the test area data, determined the distribution of tectonic and hydrous bodies, extracted second order characteristics from images. And on the base of combining multi-channel information and existing diggings, it is feasible to detect new potential mineral...
