Development Of Embedded Platform And The Application For GPS

The embedded system is a result of the development of Information technology, it is a foundation stone of information construction. The range of application is extremely extensive. Today,the embedded system is applied extensivly to this fields , such as industrial control, commercial management , military , medical treatment , consumer-elcetronics devices ,etc. The global positioning system (GPS ) has solved mankind's navigation on the earth and orientation problem fundamentally. The embedded system is combined with GPS, will just be widely used.This subject introduces a method which can combine embedded system and GPS technology together. It is a development to the embedded system. This text introduces the implementation of the embedded file system and development course of the Graphical User Interface particularly.At first the text outlines the definition , the composition and the characteristics of the embedded system and the development prospect of GPS . Then, we introduce the construction of the overall frame of the whole system, including the hardware and software part. In part three, we introduce the common embedded file systems , and has selected Cramfs and YAFFS for our use according to the characteristics of the subject, and provide the implementation method. In part four, we compare several GUI systems under embedded systems, and choose MiniGUI through comparing. In part five we introduce typical system MiniGUI and it's characteristics ,installation and the process of the cross compiling.
