With the development of industry, more quantity of water is needed, water resource distribution is not homogeneous in time and space, so many cities have to transport water through a long - distance pipe across regions, cities have more and more pipelines. Now pipeline is more longer, water distribution system and transport medium is more elaborate, so the process of transporting water is more complicated.Pipeline water hammer is common in complex water-supply systems, and it's very harmful, it's very harm to pipeline and it may lead to financial losses. Therefore, we must use proper water hammer calculating method to analyze and calculate pipe net instant water power. Then we can carry out relevant protective measures to ensure that the system operates safely. This article, aiming at Mopan Mountain Gravity Flow Water Transfer Project water hammer equation, numerical simulates water hammer equation with wavelet finite element method. The wavelet has the special character of MRA and this make the wavelet more analysis power of time and frequency. The wavelet's superiority root come form its smoothness and tighten support in part and this make the wavelet function more power to solute the morbidity than the traditional methods. The paper turn the physics space problem into wavelet space by the MRA character of wavelet function. Describe the function that ought to be solute as a series wavelet base-function and then find the solution method of water-hammer equation in the wavelet space, describe the naissance and broadcast of water-hammer, and finally get the numerical simulation solution of water hammer and provide essential scientific foundation and reference to make urban water-supply safety, and have got a satisfying result.
