With the developments of electronic computer technique and numerical method, CFD analysis has come out as a modern alternative for fluid calculation. To reduce the cost of R&D, CFD has been extensively applied to aeronautic and airspace field for the design of aircraft. In terms of Automobile, CFD can be more effective for selection of the body shape than conventional wind tunnel, which needs much less time and can be repeated without the limitation of experiment.SIMPLE(semi-implicit method for pressure Linked equations)algorithm is the principal numerical method to numerical simulate incompressible fluid flow, it can remove the difficulties of fake pressure disturbance and of neglecting specific pressure equation for incompressible fluid flow successfully.This paper is based on the pressure-correction principle of SIMPLE algorithm. In this improved algorithm——SIMPLEI(SIMPLE Improved), the pressure field was determined by the way adopted in the SIMPLER algorithm, while using the method adopted in the PISO algorithm achieve that pressure field and velocity field meet continuity equation and momentum conservation equation, and consider influence of convection-diffusion term for velocity correction, Synchrony of source term and velocity field. The research development of SIMPLE and SIMPLER,SIMPLEC,SIMPLEST and so on had been discussed. The process of SIMPLEI algorithm was given. The algorithm was used to simulation of the flow field in a liddriven flow in closed square cavity. It assesses the accuracy of algorithm and programs.
