After rigorous investigation and argumentation, VLBI detectingtechnique is definitely feasible to complete the accurate determinationof lunar orbit. In collaboration with another three VLBI stations(Beijing,Shanghai and Urumchi), Kunming VLBI station is required to modify andimprove both hardware and software in order to satisfy the need of orbitdetecting, satellite allocating and data receiving.S3 Data Acquisition System is the key part of Kunming VLBI station.The terminal control of S3 Data Acquisition System is guarantee ofmonitoring data accurately and swiftly. Accordingly, the entire VLBIorbit determination system will operate successfully. Therefore,standard software design under Debian Linux OS is needed to controlterminal combining with software engineering.First of all, the paper introduces the VLBI technology principle andimportant components of VLBI stations, then it analyze the principal parts(Receiver, Intermediate Frequency Distributor, Base Band Converter, CableDelay Counter, Calibration Signal Switch and Weather DataAuto-acquisition device) of S3 Data Acquisition System in combinationwith the schematic diagrams. At last, it presents the procedure ofsoftware design step by step, test report and the issue is to be solvedin the future.
