The depth of burial of Member 1 of Shahejie Formation in Dongpu Sag is relatively shallow, and the degree of exploration is relatively low. According to the current studying, there are so many problems of hydrocarbon's exploration in shallow layer of Member 1 of Shahejie Formation that must be solved urgently, especially some questions are recognized lowly, such as the reservoir's geochemical characteristic, the condition of formation and the control factor of play. Only have solved these problems can we make a more clearly recognition to the hydrocarbon's formation and evolution of Member 1 of Shahejie Formation in this area, thereby, can we expand the shallow layer's exploration of Dongpu Sag.According to the kerogen style, element composition, pyrolysis parameters, extraction's group compositions and the chromatlog of satisfied hydrocarbon, we make use of organic geochemistry and petroleum geology theories to evaluate source rock's organic type, abundance, and maturity of Member 1 of Shahejie Formation in Dongpu Sag. We consider that the organic maturity of source rock in Member 1 of Shahejie Formation is low, the time of hydrocarbon's generation is short, and the capability of hydrocarbon's generation is during low to middle.Through the oil correction it is founded that the oil of Member 1 of Shahejie Formation in Dongpu Sag may be originated from the source rock of Member 3 of Shahejie Formation and the contribution of source rock in Member 1 of Shahejie Formation is less.Make use of measurement of enclosure's homogenization temperature and basin modeling, we consider that the most important period of hydrocarbon's migration and accumulation of Member 1 of Shahejie Formation is the Dongying Formation sediment metaphase.During the Dongying Formation sediment metaphase, the regional fault activity is severe, the condition of reservoir forming is good. The hydrocarbon come from the Member 3 of Shahejie Formation is accumulated in the trap near the fault. Thus, we suggest that the exploring target is the trap which is near the fault and the oil source.
