Scientific Visualization is a theory, method and technology which apply the principles and methods of computer graphics and image processing to convert Scientific and engineering computing and the result to graphics and image, at the same time displayed and interactively processed. Visualization of flow fields is one of the most challenging research hotspots, there is a widely development prospect and application area.On the basis of analysis on the flow data, according to the characteristics of flow data, this dissertation uses methods of scatter data visualization and 3D vector visualization to deal with flow data which is obtained by numerical computation. There are six chapters in this paper:In chapter 1, introduce some knowledge about visualization in scientific computing and flow field, On the basis of these knowledge, introduce visualization technology which is used in the deal with of flow data, Including the research results of this field. At last, introduce the research content of full text.In chapter 2, in order to get flow data, introduce the condition of internet applications and the method of reading flow data.In chapter 3, introduce some knowledge about grid data, such as the type of grid, the data structure of grid, and then describe how to show the grid using OpenGL. At last, it offers a method to structuralize non-structure grid.In chapter 4,according to the scatter data, it describes the visualization method and algorithm of isoline, nephogram and iso-surface.In chapter 5, introduce many visualization technique in vector field, such as geometry shape, texture generation, optical properties, flow field feature extraction and topological analysis, then offer some corresponding algorithms. In chapter 6, all achievements of the dissertation are summarized "and the further research work is put forward.
