This article gives a particular research on the formation, distributing, physics and mechanics characteristics of the newly-deposited silty soil in HuaiBei Plain, Anhui province, it also give some analysis of the change regularity of the soil characteristics, the author got two formation of the newly-deposited silty soil in this area after consulting mass of data: one is that for the flooding of the huai river, the silty soil mainly distributed in funan, huaiyuan and wuhe etc, which near the drainage area of huai river; the other is that the Yellow River changed its route and also with the flooding aggradation, so that the silty soil mainly distributed in the northwest part of the plain such as the jieshou city, bozhou city, and the distict from the suzhou city to the sixian. further more, the author had drawn the distributing map of the silty soil in this area after consulting mass of data, besides, the author had collected plenty of engineering data, such as the soil test data and the load test data, through the analysis and the coordinate to the data, got the composition and content of the newly-deposited silty soil, the physics and mechanics characteristics of the soil in different districts of this plain, then did some contrast and analysis to these characters in different districts, from which the author then got the change regularity of all the physics and mechanics index, based on the load test and some geological experiments datums, the author acquired the carrying capacity of the silty soil in different districts of this area, besides, the author also do some research on the liquefaction behavior and the harm of the silty soil, then gave some advices to solve the problem.
