Design And Implementation Of WEBGIS Platform Base On AJAX

WEBGIS appeared so near, but as an effective way of GIS popularizing, it developed so fast.As long as WEBGIS developing, people always hope that WEBGIS worked as the C/S modeGIS, in the functions such as statistics, analysis, and query. The old modes worked inefficient, ormust set up plug-in for IE. For the AJAX's appearance, some new modes can carry out. Thepaper introduces a new WEBGIS mode: Using the VML to display feature data, Using PNGpicture to display raster data, and Using AJAX and another technique to fit together. At last,builds a platform for users who need their own WEBGIS, to secondary development. Finally,paper introduces an application example of this WEBGIS platform to prove its practicability andfeasibility.
