With the development of modern remote sensing technology, more and more multi-resolution, multi-temporal and multi-spectral remote sensing image data are provided by different kinds of remote sensors. To get a more correct, clear and complete knowing about the target, it is urgent for us to find a way to synthesize different kinds of image data. So the technology of image fusion appears. In recent years, multi-sensor image fusion has attracted many attentions in remote sensing area and image project area.MS-RSIF methods are investigated in different levels by means of image processing and modern signal processing techniques in this thesis, Through fusion of image data from different aerial remote sensors, we can improve the image resolution and analysis results in precision and believability, and further improve the effectiveness in detection and recognition of specific aerial targets. In order go improve the techniques and applications of the multiple remote sensing image fusion at pixel level. In this dissertation, we focus on the following aspects:(1)This paper presented the background and the development situation in the national and international. A systematic summary is given on the basic characteristics, practice and problems of MRsIDF.(2)The analysis and induction about the MRsIDF at pixel level are expatiated on the theory, frame, echnique flow and algorithms. Aiming at the problem which the original image will affect the quality of the fusing image so this paper gives the image pretreated processes. In this dissertation, an automated FFT-based technique is proposed for registration of remote sensing images having different spatial resolution and relative rotation and shift.(3)Fourteen criterion items in four groups are summarized for fusion evaluation, which are utilized in the experiments to acquire both qualitative and quantitative analysis of the fusion results.(4)This paper develops four methods of enhancing IHS transform and PCA transform to reduce the lost of color control. According to high frequency information of high-resolution image, these new methods modify the intensity component of the fusion image. Experimental results show that the new methods not only enhance spatial detail information of the fused image largely, but also preserve spectral information of the original multi-spectral image well.
