With the development of Surveying and Mapping industry and widely applying of new techniques, the traditional map publishing process trended to be in fully digital data model, and the necessity of research of Digital Publishing Originals of Map's management became critical, In order to fit the digital publishing process, to heighten frequency of map usage, to improve the quality and efficiency of map publishing, to update map data of publishing in time and to cut cost, building the Management System of Digital Publishing Originals of Map to manage the Digital Publishing Originals of Map was presented. The main content of this paper is given as follows:Firstly, it analyzed the model of map publishing, the process, together with the-state-of-art of management of digital publishing originals. It also introduced corresponding theories and technique developments related to the research of the Management System of Digital Publishing Originals of Map.
