Rare metals, such as Beryllium and Lithium, are important materials and additives in kinds of alloy steels which have special properties. They are consumed extensively in very significant areas, especially in national defense industry, metallurgical industry, petrol chemical industry and space navigation industry. All the importance stated above lead to the crucial status of these rare metals to the industry in our country.Koktokay, Xinjiang province refers to the area with the longitude from 89°14′to 90°50′and latitude from 46°55′to 48°00′, reaching to 12000 square kilometers. The continued compressing and trusting must caused the formation of the Altay Mountains. At the same time, these effects also created sorts of advantages to the concentration of the rare metal elements. Nowadays, the increasing of the requirement to the rare metals in countries has become prominent. Shorten of the resources urges scientists to search new deposit predicting way based on the GIS to solve this problem. In this paper, based on the collection of the geological map of 1:500000 regional geology, six rare metals', including Be, Li, Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, geochemical data and remote sensing data, and under the guide of the geological anomaly theory, I picked 20 evidences with the Evidence Weight method and delineated four favorable areas according to the posterior probability. The study of subsurface true three-dimensional geological modeling and metallogenic prediction for underground resources has become the main approach in our country's mining industry. 3-D visualized model can interpret the spatial distribution of mines. 3-D metallogenic prediction requires the analysis of resource volume and prospecting probability of ore bodies. The study of 3-D geological modeling and 3-D metallogenic prediction in the beryllium/lithium deposits in Koktokay, Xinjiang province, has fulfilled the location and quantity determining prediction, which has the advancement in the process of quantifying the deposits rather than charactering them. Moreover, the study has made a prominent breakout in the change from 2-D context to 3-D prospecting, and provided a new avenue to dig the potential of the old mines. By combining the advantages of new 3-D software technique, we obtained great achievement in the 3-D spatial analysis, data storage management, 3-D geological visualization, etc.
