The quantitative assessment of mineral resource potential is to study the potential development of mineral resources, and their main contents include how to confirm the space distribution of undiscovered mineral resources and to estimate their amount for improving integrated analysis extent in work district, establishing standardized and unified ore finding information platform, and serving for mining economic development of the study area.Keshenketeng locates in the northwest of Neimenggu province,Chifeng city. In this area,the mineral resource is rich,the kinds of minerals that have discovered reach more than 40.The amount of ore deposits are more than 300. The unique geological background and the superior mineralization condition,determine this area to have the big resource potential. In this paper, basing on multi-information metallogenic prediction methods,we take the geological theory as the instruction,summarize the region mineralization patterns and the typical ore deposit mineralization model of the main metal mineral resource,analyze geological, geochemical and geophysical information, using the multi-source and multi-method and the guidelines of regional matallogenic theory,we extract ore-forming information and predict and appraise the Keshenketeng area’s main scare metal mineral resource in the method of GIS and RS. By the method of weight evidence method which is proposeed by Canadian mathematics geologist Agterberg,mineralization intensity, mineralization breadth,we utilize the symbols of mineralization information to predict and appraise the Keshenketeng area’s main metal mineral resource,and delineate the metallogenic prospect area and propose regional mineral exploration and deployment area.In this study, basing on quantitative prediction and forecast position, the system extracted the deployment of the proposed mineral exploration in Keshenketeng to achieve the "targeted, quantitative, deployed" forecast principle and take this principle as a regional mineral exploration deployment the basis for the work.This study dirlect correctly the distribution of ore finding work at different levels in Keshenketeng area ,bring forword the important exploration work or dispose specific exploration works and realize improving the the scientific and effectiveness of ore finding worke and improving the extent of ore-forming geological studies. According to the overall planning request of Keshenketeng mineral resource,the development of this industry depends upon the advance in technology, the optimized mining industry structure,the promotion of Keshenketeng national economy.
