To a great extent, the speed and quality of anchoring support depend on the quality of the anchor drilling machine. The anchor drilling machine's performances are key factors that affect the speed, quality and efficiency of anchoring support. So, study of the anchor drilling machine which has good capability, high reliability and in accordance with China's present situation, with independent intellectual property rights plays an important role in the development of China's anchoring technique.Taking the top dual-drive device of the anchor drilling machine as main object of study, the development status of the anchor drilling machines at home and abroad has been investigated in this paper. On the basis of comprehension about anchor's kind and selection, anchoring support's rock drilling mechanism and rock crushing mechanism analysis, the working mechanism of the top dual-drive device has been researched and analyzed thoroughly. And it is considered that its drilling style belongs to the rotary-impact drilling. Besides, under the geological conditions of f≤4 and4≤f≤8, some parameters of the drive device such as the output torque, power and the striking energy have been calculated.On the basis of thoroughly and deeply study of the drive device's design theory, principles of parameters regulating as well as the electro-hydraulic control strategy, taking the stepless control of the piston stroke from the hydraulic shock mechanism as the goal, a new hydraulic rotary-impact drive device with adjustable stroke has been designed. The simulation model of the impact mechanism's dual-rotation and the impact hydraulic system are established by the software AMESim. And through the analysis of dynamic simulation, the influences of parameters from the hydraulic impact mechanism to the performance of top dual-drive equipment are realized. Also, the movement law about the hydraulic rotary-impact drive device is obtained.In order to make sure that the strength of the key components of the top dual-drive device can meet using requirement, under the premise of various simplifying assumptions, in accordance with the kinematical equations, the structure and size of the piston as well as the impact cylinder's physical dimension have been calculated. By strength checking, it is confirmed that the results are satisfactory.To sum up,the above study has established a self-contained research system about the dynamic characteristics of the top dual-drive device of anchor drilling machine, which has certain theoretical significance and practical engineering value.
