The Study Of Benthic Algae In Xinghai Bay, Dalian

From September 2005 to April 2008,an investigation on the resources of the bethic marine alga on the coastal water in Xinghai Bay ,Dalian was made.There were 1593 herbarium.75 species were found along the Xinghai Bay coast,including 36 species of Rhodophyta,20 species of Phaeophyta and 19 species of Chlorophyta.There were 19 species could be seen in every month,including 8 species of Rhodophyta,7species Phaeophyta and 3 species of Chlorophy.In the middle of May and June,the alga species came to a head(48 species).During a year,the most species occorring in the mid-tidal zone(There were 87 species).And the least species occurring in the hight tidal zone(There were 13 species).In the three zone,the most species occurring reproductive organs(50 species).There were 27 species in autumn and 13 species in winter occurring reproductive organs.In four seasons,the abundantest alga species composition and biomass occurring in summer,the next was winter,the least was autumn.The biomass of Chondrus nipponicus was 20.83g/m2 in every month,it was the most.The average monthly biomass in different tidal zones,the most was mid-tidal zone,next was low-tidal zone,the least was hight-tidal zone.And the average monthly biomass in different seasons,the end of spring and the beginning summer was the most (263g/m2 ),the next was autumn.The least was in the end of summer and the beginning of autumn(46g/m2).The average biomass in different place,Science museum in Dalian was the most,next was the beach of Xinghai park,and the least was near the bath of Xinghai.Mostly seaweeds in Xinghai Bay have economic value.There were 47 species could be used in medicine and 28 species edible alga.The alga are used in industry concentrate on Sargassum,Laminaria,Gelidium,Chondrus,Gracilaria,and Porphyra.The main temperature character species which occurring in Xinghai Bay is warm water.It is belong to the alga flora in west Huanghai.There were 47 species in all,it is account for 62.67%.With the development of Xinghai Bay ,the environment of seaweeds be influenced that the community composition in Xinghai Bay has big variation . So,in the future we should look on the protection of the seaweeds living environment .
