As the continuous advanced development of global economic society,more standard city scale and increasingly large population,making the pressure of the urban planning system increased dramatically.In addition,the city's traffic condition becomes even more crowded accompanied by a large increase of private cars and crowded population.These are major obstacles for city's further development.The corresponding development of Geographic Information System for Transportation makes great benefit to address these problems,at the same time,it can improve the efficiency of the transport sector to a large extent.Thus brings about huge economic benefits.Based on the research of Geographic Information System for Transportation.As the Geographic Information System for Transportation platform,electronic maps don't have restrictions of maps and scale compared with traditional maps,thereby increasing the map's performance area,however,in leads to new problems of multi-level e-map shows,that is how to display multi-level data in the electronic map.To address this issue,the main research contents of this paper include:how to organize a wide range of reasonable scale spatial data,making the access to data and display data faster.In this paper,the researching methods and researching results of several integrated parts.Firstly,the problem and current research at home and abroad;the brief introduction of relevant background of Geographic Information System for Transportation and its meanings;the introduction of spatial data organizational research base,such as the concept of spatial data,spatial date models,spatial date structures and spatial index,it is the theoretical basis and reference design in the implementation of spatial data structure;according to the system's analysis design and implementation of data structures,this chapter describes how to deal with data stratification and segmentation,gives the logic organizational structure of the data and designs the corresponded space index and data model.Finally,I conduct a series of conversion test by using MapInfo data as data sources,the results meet to the analysis requirements of the system;chapter five,it summarizes the full text,points out the shortcomings of this article,as well as the direction of future research work.
