Along with our water conservancy facilities massive constructing, the dam deformation monitoring already became an important topic, was concerning trillion people's life and property safely with our country economy development. To the dam monitor mainly is to its deformation point displacement observation as well as the physical interpretation which distorts to the dam. On the one hand must establish the appropriate distortion monitoring network, through periodic multi-time observation, correct expression dam each deformation data. On the other hand must aim at the distortion data, the correct analysis influence dam distorts the physical factor, and determined each physical factor influence dam distorts degree.This article first introduced the dam deformation monitoring vital significance as well as the current domestic and foreign dam monitor technology development situation, and summarized the dam deformation monitor analysis several mathematical model in this foundation, discussing each mathematical model's modelling way and it's advantage or disadvantage in detail. Then elaborated Sanmen Xia dam's deformation monitoring network establishment and the monitor precision, and unifies to the Sanmen Xia dam deformation monitoring data in many years, the selection deterministic model to affects the dam the physical factor from the hydraulic pressure, the temperature, the effectiveness three aspects carries on the finite element analysis. In this process, we had considered fully the mountain massif pressure, hydrostatic pressure influence, which have carried on the stress strain analysis using finite element software ANSYS to the dam, direct-viewing performance Sanmen Xia dam present running status. Finally aimed at the dam deformation point, the use pessimistic model has carried on the forecast to the Sanmen Xia dam deformation.This article indicated that Sanmen Xia dam's deformation point GPS1, GPS2, GPS3, GPS4 displacement is small, the temperature is the predominant influence in the dam's deformation on the axis wire direction. The whole of the dam's movement is steady.
