In oil and gas exploration, the application of the theory of seismic facies and seismic facies analysis, in the interpretation of stratigraphic and lithologic reservoirs for oil and gas, has been a great success. Seismic facies is a better research methods than seismic tectonic interpretation, but also for oil and natural gas exploration there is the actual meaning of it. It is not only the restoration of depositional environment can be divided into different types of sedimentary facies units, but also analysis and forecasting reservoir facies. Seismic facies analysis is an important tool which researches lithofacies characteristics by the use of seismic reflection profiles, it is necessary to study not only the reflection profiles and the relationship between geological structure, but also study of reflection characteristics and depositional environment, and draw n lithofacies the general situation of distribution. The carbonate rocks and the carbonate reef and bank are perfect reservoir for oil and gas . Reservoir of carbonate is regarded by geologists and geophysicists all the time. There are many kinds of trap in carbonate. They had much a lot of advantages for oil and gas generation and accumulation. Carbonate rocks from the simple definition, structure, classification, development of laws, such as sedimentary facies and depositional environment of reservoir geology to study the characteristics of seismic reflection characteristics, response characteristics of logging, reservoir identification and prediction techniques, are all important research in oil and gas exp??tion .This paper describes the seismic facies geophysical reflection parameters and their response characteristics and geological significance, at the same time, we analysed the carbonate rocks and carbonate reef and bank characteristics of seismic facies and discussed more comprehensive analysis of biological reef traps that may arise. On the other hand we focused on the convolution model for numerical simulation of seismic wave method. The various types of carbonate rocks and reef geological formation modeling, using seismic convolution forward and imaging, the establishment of the seismic response of the corresponding mode of formation, summary of carbonate reflection seismic wavefield characteristics ,can guide the work of oil and gas exploration in carbonate rockes. Especially, there were three following main steps: Firstly, it was understood to the definition of seismic facies, development of seismic facies, and analysis of the meaning of the parameters of seismic facies and the geological relations between the sedimentary environment and the sedimentary facies. That was executed an analysis of seismic facies of the world typical carbonate rocks and the actual seismic data and the geological environment of carbonate deposition was exploreed. Secondly, two dimension closed structure geological models were created on the base of control points. methods of deconvolution and forward modeling is performed and the numerical experiments for complex wave field had been done. And compare to other methods, its image quality is also satisfactory. Thirdly, using deconvolution method, forward modeling of sequence stratigraphy and chronostratigraphy, and carbonate reef formation were simulated, and there was the effect of significantly.
