According to the result of research, igneous rock in Chagan Depression belongs to ejected rock, the lithology of volcanic rock varies from ejection mode and structure, although in the same block, volcanic rock includes different host minerals and secondary minerals; although the different or the same lithology in the same block, it includes different mineralogical composition, so it is considerable difficult to identify the lithology of volcanic rock exactly. Volcanic rock lithologic is identified qualitatively in accordance with the shape of the logging curve in the logging method, and the shape results from the comparison which depends on the technical experiences, so it is hard to grasp the technology with too much subjectivity. This article aimed to resolve the problems that igneous rock structure types are complex, reservoir characteristic is special and the lithology evaluation for igneous rock is difficult etc., based on cuttings slice identification of igneous rock, discussed the function of igneous rock lithologic identification for natural gamma-ray logging, digital image logging, developed image logging parameter & natural gamma-ray logging parameter igneous rock lithologic identification method successfully, formed igneous rock lithologic comprehensive identification method by means of fuzzy theory, resolved the problem of igneous rock lithologic identification in Chagan Depression, reached an accuracy of over 90% for igneous rock lithologic identification, offered technical assist for the further geological exploration of igneous rock in Chagan Depression.
