Jinchuan copper-nickel sulphide deposit is located in Jinchang city, Gansu Province. known for its large scale and typical metallogenetic feature in the world, is also an important source of Ni-Cu metal mineral resource in our country.Based on the predecessor's work, the law of the deposit has been summarized, some problems have been identified and then been solved. By the means of geological theories and historical geological analysis, and combined with the methods of carefully field investigation, a mount of geological information collection and rocks and ore slides identification, the relationship between structure and metallogenese has been discussed deeply. And applying the views of geomechanics, the evolution and change of the tectonic in the district have been analyzed in the macro and micro sides. In short, through the analysis of the geological features about the deposit, not only the metallogenetic rule has been summarized, but tectonic system about rock-controlling and ore-controlling has also been carried out.On the basis of systematic analysis and research on Jinchuan copper-nickel sulphide deposit in tectonic system, some conclusions can be drawn as follows:(1) The style of the spatial distribution of the ore-bearing magmatite in Jinchuan copper-nickel sulfide deposit was been determined by the style of spatial distribution of the rock-controlling fault and evolution of the geomechanic properties.(2) Four ore-bearing intrusions in Jinchuan is tilted towards the same area. This area might be the thoroughfare of ore-bearing ultrabasite magma. It could be important prospecting target area.(3) According to structural features of ore field, tectonic generation and stress field of every period have been analyzed.(4)There is a close relationship between structure and ore-forming. And the distribution of ore-bearing ultrabasite is controlled by the NW-trending deep frature. Because of the recumbent folding of NW-trending, the core of the fold was become thicker. Because the ore-bearing body was cot by the fault of NE-trending, the mineralization has become richer. NNE-trending fault is the main structure that controlled the forming of hydrothermal filling mineral deposit.Based on understanding of the above conclusions, the author analyzes exploration prospects in the known deposits of deep-edge, and according to the spatial characteristics of the ore-bearing instructions, exploration target areas have been selected.
