Western Zhejiang area lies on the west of Jiangshan_Shaoxing bonding zone, South China activitive zone and Yangtze continental block bonding zone.Proterozoic and Paleozoic favouring copper mineralization are distributed here.The NE-trending deep faults are developed featuring muti-phase activities.The magmatism in Yanshanian has close relation to metallization. Jiangshan_Shaoxing bonding zone is an important metallogenic belt with unique mineralization , where many large and super large polymetallic ore deposits located.Since Proterozoic,the coupling of different types of crust, the transition,many times change of the convergence and divergence pattern and stress state,frequent tectonic-magmatic activities, particularly volcanic eruptions and strong and widespread intrusion of magma in Mesozoic-Cenozoic constitute an important circum-Pacific magmatic belt.Long time and complex geological evolution,tectonic and magmatic activity provides a good condition for the formation of copper,gold and other mineral ore deposit.In this paper, I start with analyzing metallogenic geological setting. Then I study the geological characteristics in connection with metallogenic, such as strata distribution,fracture distribution,geophysical characteristics and geochemical characteristics. The application of MORPAS software helps to partition unit and extraction variables.The mineral resource quantitative prediction (MRQP) software provides theory of quantification and feature analysis function to realize mineral resources prediction.In addition, the mineralization coefficient isoline method is applicable for small and medium-scale mineral prediction and potential assessment.By using this method,mineralization anomaly areas have been delineated.This also provides the basis for further prediction.From existing research and comprehensive analysis of all results,we finally selected five areas as key areas for future work. The research results have important guiding significance in the future deployment of copper-polymetallic mineral exploration work in this region.
