In Hailar basin, the structure of lithological profiles is complex, not only containing the volcanic lava, normal sedimentary rocks, but containing the transitional volcanic lithology. And the lithology of rocks in Tongbomiao group is more complex and diverse, not only contains a considerable volume of pyroclastic sedimentary rocks, but also a considerable volume of normal sedimentary and volcaniclastic rocks.Under the foundation of particularly analyzed many practical experimental core analysis and log data, I summed up main lithological types and stratigraphic distribution in Tongbomiao group of Hailar basin. Crossplots and histogram plates are established. Qualitative analysis for the logging curves, and research the capacity of the logging curves to respond to the different lithological profiles. Analyzed the log response of differdent rocks. And detailedly analyzed the variation regular of major lithological correspondence to the log response, showed the ordering of sensitivity that it is about logging physical quantity of different lithology, including acoustical property, electrical conductivity, radioactivity, cubic content, density, hydrogen index and so on. That may provide a good base both on theory and practice for further developing the research in identifying the complex lithology, through the analysis result of log response in Tongbomiao group of Hailar basin.On the basis of the knowledge on the lithologic characters, I took further steps to the study on lithology recognition method with pattern recognition. Take the labeling of the lithology that is from the core holes as the standard, in combination with logging data, to build the modeling data that was used in studying on the method, founded the compositive method of lithology recognition. To apply the pattern recognition technology to distinguish the actual wells. Through further analyzing to increase the coincidence rate that between volcanic rocks and sedimentary rocks, and the same increase the coincidence rate of lithology identification of the main lithology, such as sandstone, mudstone, conglomerate, tuff, igneous rocks, and their transitional lithology.The coincidence rate of lithology identification is greater over 70%.
