Moisture content of oil well is one of the important indicators to evaluate the oil well and oil production capacity. By dynamic monitoring of wells, we can be able to understand and master the production status of wells and the liquid production layer in order to rationalize the development program of the oil well, make the well in the normal or optimum production conditions, ultimately improve the efficiency of oil well development and enhanced oil recovery.Coaxial line moisture meter can not only measure continuously the moisture content of oil wells, but also has a dynamic range of moisture content of 0~100% and higher resolution.The new set of excess gas-type converter can reduce maximumly the impact of gas production for the moisture content measurement .In this paper,coaxial line phase measurement theory, coaxial sensor as well as the coaxial line phase moisture meter design are researched.Through the indoor experiments and field tests for the coaxial line moisture meter, various factors affecting the accuracy of moisture content is identified, and the equipment design and interpretation method are optimized, and then the optimized results are validated by the field appliccation again.In three-phase flow measurement experiments, we can find out effects of the different gas-phase flow on the moisture content measurement. So that the three-phase measurement can be achieved in the filed application, and the test data can be interpretated qualitativly by three-phase theory.
