Taojinping gold deposit in Xupu, Hunan province, the geotectonics is located in Proterozoic era Yangtze plate in the south western part of the ancient island arc belt, mid-arc shear zone of Xuefeng arcuate belt.The strata expose mainly in the Neoproterozoic Erathem upper Banxi Group Wuqiangxi Group(Ptbnw2), Au, Sb and As mineralization mainly originate in it.On the basis of analyzing the ore-forming geological backgrounds of the study area, in combination with the key-knowledges on petrology, tectonics, ore mineralogy, elements geochemistry, deposits geochemistry, and so on, the author has done deeply researches on the ore-forming conditions, geological characteristics, geochemical features of ore, causes of Taojinping gold deposit, ore-controlling factors and laws of mineralization. The main achievements are as follows:1.There is a favorable tectonic location, conducive to Au, Sb, As and other elements of the mineralization.2.As, Sb, Au element of the secondary aberrant halos show that the north-east veins of the distribution, abnormal distribution was controlled by fracture zone, with vein 1 (V1) and vein 2 (V2) of basic coincidence. The fracture zone is development of quartz veins, the ore-bearing is restricted by the crushed zone with strength and the development of quartz veins.3.Nanjiangping prospecting target was focused on identified in Taojinping gold deposit.Through implementation of the drilling engineering, the area indicates a significant structural control. There is a type of shear zone gold ore tectono-mineralized belts in Taojinping gold deposit and the structural belts appear in groups, determine the existence of at least two north-east to the alteration crushed zone of V1, V2 and a number of nearly parallel gold ore body.4.Minerogenetic regularity of the study area and prospecting criteria indicate that this area has a great prospect.
