Since the Three Gorges reservoir area of special geological and geographical conditions, Three Gorges reservoir area was the landslide-prone areas since the ancient times,sprcially the Three Gorges Dam was construction completed and the Three Gorges reservoir storeed water, the Three Gorges reservoir area severely affected by the geological environment, Landslides disasters is occurred regularity. Landslide disasters not only destroys bridges,culverts, electricity, roads and other public facilities, blocks the Yangtze River waterway, Even serious threatens to lives and property of the people of the reservoir area. Use of GIS-related technology design the stability of landslide GIS evaluation system, the safety factor of landslide can be calculated,which evaluate the stability of landslide, also combined with other information, effective early warning of landslide hazards, reduce casualties and property loses.Landslide Stability Evaluation System of the Reservoir of Three Gorges based on GIS (Stand-alone Version) is a important part of warning and command of the Three Gorges Reservoir. Paper is based on GIS application which is used in landslide stability evaluation, uses the technology of space graphics computing, combines spatial data and attribute data, systems design, database design, system implementation and testing aspects of the research, design and develop GIS-based Stability Evaluation of Three Gorges Reservoir system. System uses the spatial features of GIS technology, takes full account of groundwater, soil types, rock structures, seismic, atmospheric precipitation and other complex conditions, profiles of the landslide spatial overlay analysis, safety factor. System consists of engineering common Fellenius method, Bishop method, Janbu method, plane sliding method, transfer coefficient, Sarma method, wedge stability evaluation method and integrated C, integratedΦ, comprehensive C,Φgeotechnical parameters such as anti-analysis, carrys out the slope stability evaluation function. Systems approach to building the underlying programming with independent copyright GIS spatial analysis platform, system dapper, fast, simple installation, less required computer resources. Systems can be connected Access, Orlace10g, SQL Server and other mainstream database, no network connection. Stand-alone system, user-friendly network of field in the absence of landslide stability evaluation, help users quickly judge the stability of landslide.
