The sandstone-type copper deposit is a class of widely distributed copper deposit,which is an important at home and abroad. The sandstone-type copper deposits in China are mainly distributed in the Mesozoic-Cenozoic basin in the South and the North Qilian Caledonian geosynclinal fold buildings belt. The Yao Xianzi sandstone-type copper deposit lies in the north Qilian fold system-the northeast corridor belt of transition,which is in the north margin foreland geotectogene,the critical situation of Xiang Mountain uplift and Weining basin. Based on geology, geochemistry and regional geology background research of the Yao Xianzi Cu(Ag) deposit,mainly to obtain the following understanding:(1) Systematically research on the ore mineral, the texture and structure, lithofacies and paleogeography and mineralization epoch, mineralization stage system of the Yao Xianzi sandstone-type copper mineral deposit, and with domestic and international comparison of typical sandstone-type copper, raised the Yao Xianzi Cu(Ag) mineral deposit for the continental deposit facies sandstone Cu(Ag) deposit, depositing-reworking origin.(2) Studies have shown that components of the deposit associated element Ag, Mo are relatively enriched, the distribution of silver and the enrichment rule of copper are consistent, and the silver can be used as Yao Xianzi sub-silver deposit of useful component associated.(3) Summarized the regional structure how control the source bed,mining area stratum and the fold how control the distribution of orebody,discussing the structure control effect to the Yao Xianzi Cu(Ag) mineral deposit.(4) Proposed the Yao Xianzi Cu (Ag) mineral deposit experienced five ore-forming stage: sedimentation stage→diagensis stage→enrichment stage after diagenesis→structural transformation stage→epigenesis transformation stage.(5) Based on previous studies, combined with this study, summed up the Yao Xianzi Cu(Ag) deposit, mineralization and enrichment in the law, proposed 3 main controlling factors:strata and lithology ore-controlling, structures ore-controlling and lithofacies and paleogeography ore-controlling.(6) Initially established the Yao Xianzi sandstone-type Cu (Ag) metallogenic model, and further proposed the prospecting criteria of the Xiang Mountain sandstone-type Cu(Ag) deposit for the Xiang Mountain area to find the similar reference copper deposits.
